Canon iP 1800 not printing after update W 10

I've recently updated to Windows 10 . My Canon IP 1800 worked perfectly with Windows 7 Pro . Now I keep getting an error from the printer which has refused to print any text I submit. Help. Thank you

Turns out that they are not planning to release drivers for 10 for this printer but state the windows 8 ones might work.

Try uninstalling the printer and reinstalling it with the official 8 drivers for the printer.
