Canon MG 5300 - printing thicker paper/card

Is there any way to adjust the feeder roller to accommodate a thicker paper/lightweight card into the rear feed? In spite of all the automatic cleaning, the card is still 'catching' on both front and read feeds.

If it does not feed through the external feed I would not try to jimmy it through as there are also rollers inside the printer and the printheads that the paper has to go though. Check the printer specs to see how thick of a paper you can use with it.
