Question Canon printer errors B200 to 5600...any solutions?

So I have a Canon MP560 Printer/Scanner. I purchased a package of new Canon inks and once I swapped them out I got the B200 error. I played with this forever (including cleaning the printer head and even getting a new one). I found this thread here and was really excited because after following the steps it seemed like it was about to work. Nope! So I messed with the printer more and must have screwed it up even more because now I get a 6800 error with text in Japanese. Is this thing toast because I'm about to throw it against a wall lol.

The ink cartridges are genuine Canon, not third-party compatibles?

(using third-party ones can also cause the b200 error I understand).

It's funny you mentioned that. I was using 3rd party ink with no problem. It wasn't until I replaced them with genuine Canon inks when I got the error and ever since the printer has not worked.

As that model was introduced in mid-2009, if it's been frequently used it may be simply have reached the stage where it either needs servicing by Canon (not cheap) or it's time to replace it.

9-10 years is a good innings for a printer.
