Canon twain driver windows xp

Hello, I have a Canon N122ou scanner (bought in 2000). I cannot get the drivers or scanner to show up in my programs.

Does the scanner show up in Device Manager? Did you install the drivers before connecting the scanner? Try uninstalling the drivers. Disconnect the scanner. Reinstall the drivers. Reconnect the scanner.

TWAIN is not a hardware-level protocol; it requires a driver called Data Source for each device. A Microsoft Windows driver enables graphics software to communicate with imaging hardware such as scanners, digital cameras and Digital Video-equipment.
