Can't access any http/https microsoft webpage, any other fine

Hi, I cant access microsoft webpage. I have fresh copy of win XP pro SP3, IE 8, and connected through an updated Vodafone ADSL modem through ethernet. Strange thing is, I can access bank, tv over internet, etc. except MICROSOFT webpages.

Any ideas?

Change your DNS server to 8.8.8.8 in your network configuration and see if that works.

8.8.8.8. doesn't work for me. just anonymouse.org. through this I can access microsoft.
I am using ADSL modem/router. My win 7 ultimate on the same system working fine on microsoft webpages.
In XP pro SP3 I tried to gradually decrease MTO settings,but unsuccesful.
