Can't access APN settings

I unlocked my galaxy S7 awhile ago ad connected it to T-mobile fine (It was previously locked to sprint). I was able to access apn settings and connect fine. I recently switched to Metro-PCS and factory reset my S7 and now whenever I try to access the apn settigs to create a metro PCS APN settings but it says "Unable to view the access point name settings. Access is restricted for the current user profile." So I cant call, text, have data, etc the SIM wont work. Why cant I change the AP settings? I was able to access them before. Any help is appreciated.

If you did a factory reset, APN settings might not be accessible unless you unlock it again.

Thats what I think too but its so weird because when I had the T-mobile SIM in it I factory reset it like 3 times with that SIM and it was fine. Also the phone seems to be still "unlocked". Doesnt have sprint bloatware or anything so I think its like a weird mixture of its unlocked but not letting me do APN custom settings.

A factory reset isn't going to reinstall any sprint software that was there previously, at least I wouldn't think it would.
