We recycled some parts to a better PC only the hard drive is pretty slow (I'm used to SSD). I have a old raid controller and some spare harddrives. It would be really nice if I could use this to boot up this PC, but the bios doesn't show the raid.
I successfully installed Windows on the raid, at least until the reboot. Is there some secret setting in the bios which can hide the raid? Or is there way to put some cind of bootloader on a other drive and the rest on the raid (amount of drives is no problem)? I want to stay at Windows due to some CAD software. Stupid Autodesk.
The Motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-H110M-S2H
Raid controller is LogiLink IDE / 2x SATA 6 Gb / s, PCIe 2.0 x1

for the card to be bootable it will need a BIOS of its own. the motherboard BIOS will load, then hand off to the cards BIOS where you can configure the array and set boot parameters. IDK the exact model you have, but it may not be bootable at all.
what is the exact card you have?
