Cant connect to xbox live

Hello,
firstly i want to say my englsih is not very good.my problem is,i have modem and i have pluged the ethernet wire to modem and xbox.but,after i test connection it say "cant detect your network hardware" and i have turn off my modem and back on,the problem still same.BUT the weird things is,sometime it will be connected to xbox live automatic without problem but after i restart the xbox,it cant be connect...please someone help me if anyone can understand what im talking about 😛

can a computer connect to the modem or same issues?

Did you try another cable?
