Can't decide, ASUS VG248QE or ASUS MX279H for gaming?

I can't decide on a new monitor to buy for mainly gaming FPS and sometimes other types. I've read many posts on IPS and TN panels. I read IPS has bigger input lag but less shadows. TN has better response times.. Which would definitely be better for gaming by most specs? Im really interested in the ASUS VG248QE , because of the utilities like the crosshair option. But also the 144hz refreash rate and 1ms response time. But im obviously going to get better colour on the IPS monitors, but will is it suitable for gaming,will i see enemies better?

Get the Asus for gaming. The 144Hz is awesome, its a great panel for gaming with good color reproduction for a TN panel, and will be compatible with GSync when that comes out from Nvidia if thats important to you. IPS panels are great, but you usually need to spend more to get one that will do well with gaming. TN is more of a gaming panel, IPS more suited to movies IMO.

Well reading my comment its pretty obvious i was referring to the ASUS VG248QE
