i have been trying to enable Secure Boot on my PC but Windows won't boot if I enable it. It starts by saying "diagnosing your PC" and then gives me the recovery environment place and the only way of booting back into Windows is to turn secure boot back off.

i have a ryzen 7 2700 and a b450 gaming pro carbon ac mobo

Is your windows installed in UEFI mode?
If not, then you can't enable secure boot.
Edit: If you're on windows 11, then it has to be UEFI already.

Also after enabling secure boot it may be necessary to load default keys.

Hi, My BIOS is shown as UEFI in systeminfo but when I go BIOS, I am seeing UEFI+Legacy. I am using Windows 11 and my drivers are GPT. Can I enable Secure Boot or should I change to Only UEFI mode first?

If you can enable secure boot without setting BIOS to UEFI only, then do that.
Not every BIOS allows it.

Note - depending on your hardware, when you set BIOS to UEFI only, you may no longer get video signal on your display (depends on graphics card).
I have Asus Rog Strix 5600xt. I can enable secure boot but not directly, firstly an error pops up like "youre in setup mode"
