Bios 3607 (originally 1503)

I thought it'd be a great idea to update the bios to the most current, since I was having some issues and blue screen crashes. Turns out that was the worst idea. I can't get the computer to boot or even be able to enter the BIOS.

I had just reinstalled the operating system when I decided to do the update. It now, will power up, then it seems like it shuts down, then powers up again. All I get on screen is a flash of all my devices connected and the options to either enter BIOS (ctrl+M), which only takes me to the Marvell Raid setup or I can press continue, which all that does is speed up the time that the screen will flash again with the same info.

I have no idea what to do or how to restore my BIOS if I can't even get to it or boot my computer. I'm afraid somewhere I screwed up the BIOS update, although I did get that it installed successfully and the computer would reset, but as soon as it did that, it just went into this cycle of one beep, a flash of a screen, and then repeat… but sadly, nothing else.

I have tried removing the battery to reset the BIOS. I've tried pressing the reset CMOS button, which I then get the option to press F1 to enter setup, but it doesn't do anything, just goes back to the one beep and flash of a screen. Have I destroyed my motherboard?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Solution
Kill it get the latest BIOS off the site, http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1155/P8P67_DELUXE/P8P67-DELUXE-ASUS-3602.zip

Extract it put it on a flash drive. Make sure the flash drive is formatted in FAT32

(you may have to rename it the manual will tell you what to)

Turn the system on. Plug the flash drive in. See what happens

DONT update the BIOS in windows if this is what you did. Do it in the BIOS itself using ez flash

This is a mistake people used to make when ASUS mobos didnt have crashfree BIOS.

And in the end they bricked their systems. Because instead of downloading then adding the update in the program, people used to download the update over the internet, and 1/2 way thru the update it froze the system

Lucky for...
mk, if you still have the dvd that came with the motherboard there may be hope. see if it will boot from that if so you can reflash it with the bios file (a .rom file) on that disk. else your out of luck and need to pull the bios chip from that motherboard and get a replacement. and to do that you'll need to contact asus.

I do have the original Asus cd, but how do I get it to boot from that drive without being able to change the boot order from bios?

Thanks for the replies.

What should it be doing if that works? Does it need to run for a bit to work? I turned it on and put the cd in, but it's still just cycling through codes…
15, 60, 62, 64, A2, 9A, 20, 99, 78, 92, 26, 96

It also flashes JMicron Tec in the upper left corner, which I am guessing has to do with the SSD connected?

Lucky for you, your system supports Crashfree BIOS

Success! After all this, I think having two monitors hooked up and on, may have been causing a problem.

I did originally update the bios through the ez utility with the file on a usb drive. Not sure what went wrong, but I'm so happy to get to this point. Going to reinstall the OS and see what else happens because right now it still doesn't want to boot.
