Asus P8P67 Deluxe
i7 2600
Windows 7 64bit
Bios 3607 (originally 1503)
I thought it'd be a great idea to update the bios to the most current, since I was having some issues and blue screen crashes. Turns out that was the worst idea. I can't get the computer to boot or even be able to enter the BIOS.
I had just reinstalled the operating system when I decided to do the update. It now, will power up, then it seems like it shuts down, then powers up again. All I get on screen is a flash of all my devices connected and the options to either enter BIOS (ctrl+M), which only takes me to the Marvell Raid setup or I can press continue, which all that does is speed up the time that the screen will flash again with the same info.
I have no idea what to do or how to restore my BIOS if I can't even get to it or boot my computer. I'm afraid somewhere I screwed up the BIOS update, although I did get that it installed successfully and the computer would reset, but as soon as it did that, it just went into this cycle of one beep, a flash of a screen, and then repeat… but sadly, nothing else.
I have tried removing the battery to reset the BIOS. I've tried pressing the reset CMOS button, which I then get the option to press F1 to enter setup, but it doesn't do anything, just goes back to the one beep and flash of a screen. Have I destroyed my motherboard?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
