Hello,

I have a new build with a 64 GB SSD and a 1 TB HDD. I was planning on using the SSD to run the OS (Win 7) while just using the 1 TB drive for storage. I installed on the SSD but couldn't manage to find a way to get the other drive to be recognized.

Do I need to change something in BIOS, is it a formatting issue, or do I just need some kind of software?

Does the disk show up in Disk Management?

Start -> right-click "Computer" and select "Manage"

Click "Disk Management"in the left pane

Scroll down to the bottom of the middle pane - you should see a map of the drive labeled "Disk 1" or something similar. If the drive shows up here but it doesn't have a drive letter associated with it, you'll have to right-click on the disk number in order to create a volume (which partitions the drive) and then format it.

The guide is working really well, the only question I have is when initializing the new drive in Disk Manager, is which partition style do I use? MBR or GPT
