Can't install 314.22 Drivers?

I recently just got Bioshock Infinite and I really want to see how much this new driver improves the performance. But for some reason I can't get it to install at all. I'm doing this all through Geforce Experience aswell. When it starts to install, first the screen will flicker, and then for some reason it keeps uninstalling my current driver, which then my computer will automatically install those old drivers back, and on the Geforce panel it will just say the Graphics Driver failed to install.

I've tried doing this with Firewall off, and no luck. I have no idea what to do.. any help? BTW, I have a EVGA GTX 550 Ti.

Why not just manually download and install the drivers yourself?

try using clean install option from nvidia installer. if that's still fails try disabling your AV when installing the driver.

Hi,
did you try to do a clean install.

When you start installation, choose custom installation and then underneath components window, check do a clean install.

Form there, the computer will uninstall previous drivers, reboot and instal the new one.

Final fail safe if above doesn't work.....

1. Uninstall old drivers, reboot

2. Run a registry cleaner i.e. Ccleaner to remove all traces of anything nVidia, reboot

3. Install new drivers.

Thanks everyone for the help! I did try doing a clean uninstall for the nvidia installer but that didn't work. I found out how to manually install the driver and it worked perfectly! Thank you

Download the driver manually from Nvidia's website.
Uninstall current video drivers - preferable with driver sweeper
Reboot
Install the new driver you just downloaded.

Sincere thanks fot the info. Years ago I recall that's how I used to do it. I now realize how complacent I've become; so much so that I couldn't remember the old-fashioned, safe way.
