Question cant install ethernet drivers.

need help asap, just upgraded my pc, went from an 8700k to a 12900k with a z690 wifi motherboard. i got everything up and running but no matter what i do drivers wont install. i have wifi barely working but its slow and the internet wont open intel or msi for driver download but i can open youtube and my email? it keeps telling me that i need to install ethernet drivers before i can install the ehternet drivers which makes no sense to me. i have downloaded drivers onto a usb stick, i have used the cd they give you with the motherboard for driver install. nothing i do works and it is driving me insane, if i cant get it figured out ill just return it and stay with my old system that actually works. thanks in advance.

When you migrated platforms, did you reinstall the OS?

yeah i had to, my old m.2 was a mbr drive so i had to install windows on a new drive.

its an old windows 10 disk, but i have installed every windows update it gave me, i keep hitting check for updates and it says im up to date and im still not getting drivers to install.

Check the drivers you got from the motherboard site again. There is a basic set of motherboard drivers you need to load before you can load any drivers for device built into the motherboard.
