Hi.

I have been trying several times installing Linux/BSD on my SATA drive.Mandriva, Ubuntu, Desktop BSD.
I hadn't the same problems on my old laptop (ATA).
A lot of options I switched in my BIOS, but I still don't know how to install. Now I have default setup.
My Toshiba L355-S7812 has a Vista already instaled , and I have just one hard drive :(
What are general rules to install Linux or BSD.
I am novice in UNIX word.
Please help !!!

Splendid
To install Ubuntu you need to shrink your Vista partition to make room for the other operating systems or install Vista again onto a smaller partition and then install Ubuntu, BSD and so on

GL :)
