Hey guys. I have a complicated problem.

I have a relatevely new laptop and since a few days the main screen stopped working, i reseted it(hold down powr btn 20sec) and it worked for a brief moment again... But then again black... the laptop is connected to two external displays and they work without a problem. It seems there was a display problem, but in the repair store changing the screen didnt help. The guy said it is probably the internal gpu. So i installed win 11 and wanted to try to install different drivers, but now i cant login to win 11 and i am stuck at the logn screen. There is the message" Something happened and your pin isnt available. Click to set up your Pin again." But if i click it..then i get a error message. If restart+ shift, i cant get into recovery mode, because the screen stays black. Because the main screen wants to go over the internal gpu i think. I cant also acess via ubuntu because i cant force the laptop to start via usb.

Any ideas? How can i start with ubuntu or reinstall windows without getting into bios/recovery mode?

Thx

Laptop manual - https://www.eluktronics.com/content/Manuals/MAX-17/MAX-17 User_Manual.pdf
shows more in BIOS than I would have expected.

if you remove drive with windows on it. I don't think anything will happen unless the USB drive is still in the boot order. If say page 43 is accurate then it could be 1st in order. Problem is I expect the install process will run on the primary display........... (lots more dots)

Yeah i just removed the ssds and had a bootable ubuntu on a usb and connected that, but nothing happened. Really running out of ideas right now, will bring the laptop to another repair store this week and will mention that they take a look at the display connections and the display itself. Idk what else to try.

have you tried the people who made laptop?
https://www.eluktronics.com/support

perhaps they can offer an idea.

Yeah already did. They recommended to install all the drivers from their site, also a control center that should help to change the monitor input(?) so it uses another chip or something like that, but with this rotten windows 11 obviously i cant acess windows and try to install it. But i did read somewhere that i need to delete some folder to solve this pin problem, i will try this days to acess the ssd with another laptop and try to delete this folders, but i imagine it is read only and i cant delte it. But lets see. Will give it a try this days.
Something positive about all that is that i finally did decide to get a desktop pc because i am settled now and dont travel that much as before. Guess there is always something good in the bad :)

make sure it is not something simple like the LCD screen brightness has been turned down.
try:
Press this key combination (Fn+F12) to increase brightness of LCD display

not sure what this does:
Press this key combination (Fn+F3) to enable Display mode
bios might require certain low resolution mode (vga?)
