Hello

So i recently upgraded from ryzen 5 1400 to ryzen 5 3600. My motherboard is Asrock ab350m pro4 and bios version is p6.40
When i had Ryzen 5 1400 installed i was able to overclock my ram to 2933mhz with 1.35 voltage, but now if i oc it to 2933mhz it wont boot to windows or i get bsod.
Then i tried 2666mhz 1.30 voltage (1.35 voltage didnt boot) but with 1.30 voltage i was able to get to windows and play games a little but everytime i play like 20-30 minutes the games crash
the ram im using is G.skill flare x 2400mhz cl16.

Solution
i would try to run stock settings (no overclock) on the RAM. I have the same motherboard but it’s full ATX. I would also get new RAM because the speed is way too low for Ryzen processors. You can get a 3200mhz kit for about $40-$60, depending on who you get it from.

Alright so yeah it runs fine with stock settings. It just weird that it ran fine with overclocked RAM with the old cpu

It is but you are also going from a first gen to a third gen but I question how that can affect overclock And BSOD. Again, you probably need new RAM with higher clock speeds. The CL is fine.

Did you ever get it figured out? I'm curious because just like the other guy I have the same board but full ATX. Unlike him I did the same as you and went from a 1st gen R7 1800x to the 3rd gen. My RAM is running at rated speeds despite tech support telling me if I wanted 3200 I would have to run in it 2 slots because the other 2 did not support it. That was unacceptable to me because I had just paid over $80 for the two sticks I had now 2 months ago. So I went ahead and bought 2 more sticks and tossed them in thinking I would accept whatever hit I took but but all 4 are running at rated speeds. As the other reply said it might be your brand of RAM. I did a lot of reading on which got the best speed and settled on Corsair Vengeance LPX and I'm very happy I did. Despite disliking the company those guys built good AMD Ryzen compatible Memory in my experience.
