Specs:
Ryzen 5 1600 @ 3.8 GHz (1.32V)
Gigabyte Ab350-gaming-3 (F7 bios)
G. Skill Trident Z 3200 MHz 2x8

I've tried manually changing my XMP profile, timings, voltage, etc. But its always a hit or miss if my ram operates at 3200 or 2133. Any ideas?

Solution

Try manually running the ram at 2933mhz or if that fails, try 2666mhz, set voltage to 1.35v for the ram and leave the timings on auto, ram issues are still being sorted with ryzen, so not everyone can get the full speed out of their ram yet.

Also, set CPU SoC (CPU NB) volatge to 1.100v, this helps a lot with ram overclocking, this is the uncore voltage, the parts around the CPU cores, memory controller etc, if your voltages work in offset mode ie +/- just add 0.180v as the stock...

I've set SoC to .208 +/- and was able to hit 2933. Seems like i have to wait
