I have a 2TB Seagate Expansion external HDD and lately I noticed its name changed to Local Disk (F and I can’t change it even after restarting and trying rename, properties and disk management (though the rename did stick in disk management just not everywhere else). I also noticed some speed drop from around 140MBps to around 90-95 MBps with with the highest reaching 120MBps and lowest at 70MBps. I also noticed the hidden files having an underscore() in the format like volumeicon.icns(or something like that, idk renamed it without the _) but I’m not sure if it was there before. Other than those things, the hard drive works just fine no corrupt files, no weird sounds no nothing but I’m worried it’s a bad sign for my HDD and I wanted to ask here first. Has anyone else faced this problem? should I be concerned or is this just some bug from windows?
