Question Can't rename my 2TB Seagate Expansion HDD, and speed drop ?

I have a 2TB Seagate Expansion external HDD and lately I noticed its name changed to Local Disk (F:) and I can’t change it even after restarting and trying rename, properties and disk management (though the rename did stick in disk management just not everywhere else). I also noticed some speed drop from around 140MBps to around 90-95 MBps with with the highest reaching 120MBps and lowest at 70MBps. I also noticed the hidden files having an underscore() in the format like volumeicon.icns(or something like that, idk renamed it without the _) but I’m not sure if it was there before. Other than those things, the hard drive works just fine no corrupt files, no weird sounds no nothing but I’m worried it’s a bad sign for my HDD and I wanted to ask here first. Has anyone else faced this problem? should I be concerned or is this just some bug from windows?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.

Any connections to other network drives? Shares, NAS, Router USB, etc..

Open Disk Management, expand the window so all can be seen.

Take a screenshot and post the screenshot here via imgur (www.imgur.com).
Any specific reasons or requirements for exFAT being used on the Expansion (F:) drive?

Versus NTFS?
It was the default format.

And you do have data stored on the drive - correct?

Disk Management indicating only 30% free space remaining. on the Seagate Drive.

There can be problems with exFAT - I do not know how extensive those problems may be - both in general and with respect to your build and drives.

Various pros and cons to using exFAT.

I do not use exFAT so must defer to those who do use or have used exFAT.
