cant run cs go on 120 fps on low gtx970m

Hello so i purchased a gaming pc and it cant run cs go on low at 120 frames. i have tried to check driver and bios i dont know what the problem is. my specs are i7-5700 CPU 2.7ghz. 16 gb ram and gtx970m

thats what my friend suggested and i did select the nvidia high-performance option but its still getting around 50-70 fps which makes it difficult to play on. BTW this is all on low

All you can do is to check if your CPU runs at it's full speed,at 3.5 you should be doing better then 50-70 FPS but not by that much, if that FPS is at 2.7 then you are doing very well,and putting the windows power setting to high performance will give you a boost.
You can use MSI afterburner to show you the CPU core clocks while gaming.
