Hi,
I purchased an LG 24UD58 4K monitor recently, yet can't stream any content higher than 6000~ish mbps, which is classed as 1080p.

I have all the requirements for streaming 4K as listed by netflix:
i7 7700K
GTX 1080
4K monitor that supports HDCP 2.2 hooked up with DisplayPort
100Mbps download speed
Ultra HD plan on Netflix
Quality set to highest in preferences

I've tried with Microsoft Edge AND the Netflix app which Netflix states are the only 2 that can stream at 4K, so why can't I stream in 4K still?

Solution
Turns out it will only stream 4K while on HDMI 2.0, so DisplayPort 1.4 doesn't work at the moment.

Hope this helps for anyone else having this issue

That is true all to "protect" against pirates. In the meantime pirates can watch 4k on basically any device that is powerfull enough to play it back. Gotta love drm.
