Question Cant turn on G-sync compatible

New monitor, using a 1079 gforce with a MSI Optix Mag32CQR monitor, which has freesync compatability.

I cannot turn on the g-sync compatible option in the control panel for g-force. As clicking the final 'enable settings for selected display model' checks the box... but when I hit apply there is a pause and the box is simply unchecked.

I am noticing that below this there is a 'to enable this monitor set it as primary display', but I cannot do this because I am only using one monitor.

Help?

Silly question - have you enabled freesync on the MSI OSD first?
Do you mean 1070 GPU?
Have you got latest drivers installed.

Yes freesync is enabled on the monitors OSD.

My mistake 1070 GPU, most recent graphics driver is installed.

What cable is used to connect your monitor?
Do you have V-sync enabled in the NVIDIA control panel?
Also assuming you're on W10...
Do you have response time on fast/fastest on OSD? If so, reset it to standard.
