Can't uninstall amd gpu drivers - Help!

Hello all,

I cannot update my amd radeon 6970 drivers. I followed all of the steps on this site:

And I also downloaded the AMD Uninstall manager and used it.

Yet STILL when I open my device manager and check the driver version of my graphics card it says version 8.97.10.6, driver date 6/19/2012

What the HELL?!?! I need to install version 14.4 so that I can play Wolfenstein FFS!

I cant give any advice on that sorry im just not able since i did not see what you actually did

ok i took out the other ram. turns out i had 3 sticks in there, two of them were 2gb ddr3 1066, the third was 4gb ddr3 1066. I left one of the 2gb ones in there, but the same problem persists.

Also, now I can't do the windows update at all. I messed something up with that freaking website, it says there are no windows updates when i know there are. something about net stop wuauserv and net stop cryptSvc. Now when i try to type net start wuauserv in cmd prompt, it says access is denied.

you got to remember its a steam game they control it not you you don't own it you just payed for the right to play it as they see fit so if theres an issue on there end your just out if there download is bad your just out if they don't want to fix it your out you pay $50 for something that you don't own or have control over and have to fully rely on a 3ed party to use don't make sense to me cause now do you know if its something on your end or theres?? and if you don't get it to work they got your money and you got nothing.. but yet everyone thinks its so great. go figure

anyway will that card really support the game? looks to be near to bottom end of the games specs.
