Cant update Windows update (KB3008273)

Hi all,

Thank you all for taking your time to read my problem.

I am currently trying to update my computer to windows 10. I am currently running windows 8 and for the life of me i cannot update my system to windows 8.1 so that I can then update to windows 10.

This is the error code that i am receiving every time i try and update.
Update for Windows 8 for x64-based Systems (KB3008273)

Installation date: ‎09/‎08/‎2015 18:39

Installation status: Failed

Error details: Code 800F0831

Update type: Important

Well if you you want to upgrade your system from 8.1 to Windows 10 just go to the link below and download the Media Creation tool before downloading there is a NOTE read it then download and follow the instruction !

Thanks for the help. I'm runningWindows 8 so I cannot upgrade straight to 10 I need to be running Windows 8.1 witch I cannot upgrade to because of this error sorry for not being clear. Thanks

Okay then give this a try and see if it can resolve:

Download the tool and run it. If there is any problem with your windows update it will fix it and then perform the windows update again.
