Question Can't use SSD as External Drive? Samsung 860 EVO via SATA to USB.

I just got a new PC, and I can't really be bothered installing my old SSD in it as it's just a lot of hassle to get into the PSU (it has a shroud over it).

The SSD in question is not a boot drive, if that matters. It just has a bunch of files on it that I want and I want to keep using the SSD as a storage drive.

Due to this I bought a SATA to USB cable. It seems like the cable works, but I can't actually access the SSD.

Under Device Management it shows as "Best USB Device", and in the details of this it correctly states that it's a Samsung 860 EVO 500GB SSD. It also shows up as this under Disk Drives in Device Manager.
But under both Disk Management and This PC, I can't actually see the drive at all so I am unable to assign it in Disk Management.

If anyone has any idea how to get this working, it'd be greatly appreciated.

It links the the product when I click on it.

Anyway, there must be a problem with the SSD because I tried a different cable and enclosure, still the same issue. I can see it everywhere apart from Disk Management and this PC. The drive was working perfectly fine before I removed it from my previous PC though.
