Case and Front Panel USB 3.0 Compatibility

So I was looking around at builds and someone suggested one that I like:

When I switch to another similar/lower priced case, such as the Rosewill Challenger (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147153), I get a compatibility issue with the motherboard:
"ASRock H77M Micro ATX LGA1155 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Rosewill CHALLENGER ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports."

Since I have $500 budget, I am skimping a bit on the video card and would also consider spending less on case. I've never built a pc yet so I'm wondering whether I need to stick with a case with front panel usb 3.0. I really like the challenger for the blue led lights, even tough it has nothing to do with performance.

They're both $50. The challenger will just be usb 2.0 on the front. If you wanted to use usb 3.0, you'll have to plug it into the mobo on the back.

And if you do plug any usb 3.0 devices into the onboard front panel 3.0 socket it will still work, but it will only run at 2.0 speeds, not a huge issue tbh as your rear I/o usb 3.0 sockets will be unaffected

The 3.0 ports will still work in 3.0 with 3.0 devices. I'm not sure what you are getting at moto. Which case he gets only affects what his front ports will be. The mobo has 3.0 and 2.0 headers so if his case is 2.0, the front ports will be 2.0 but if the case is 3.0 then he will have 3.0.

I was referring to the front ports, sorry for the lack of clarity
I was going to also mention the availablity of usb 3.0 panels to plug into the onboard 3.0 header so op could upgrade the front panel ones if he wishes
