I bet the next claim will be, 'that's what spilled all over in the Gulf. That was Iraqi oil.' [:aford10:1]

Exactly. [:badge:2]

Well, if I took that Saddams own brother felled the towers, then Id be all out on him
Maybe thats the rumor behind Iraq?
There was evidence of them using chems against their own people, as well as the Iranians, so they existed

"During the Presidency of Saddam Hussein, the nation of Iraq used, possessed, and made efforts to acquire weapons of mass destruction (WMD). Hussein was internationally known for his use of chemical weapons in the 1980s against Kurdish civilians during and after the Iran–Iraq War. It is also known that in the 1980s he pursued an extensive biological weapons program and a nuclear weapons program, though no nuclear bomb was built.

After the 1990-1991 Persian Gulf War, the United Nations located and destroyed large quantities of Iraqi chemical weapons and related equipment and materials throughout the early 1990s, with varying degrees of Iraqi cooperation and obstruction.[1] In response to diminishing Iraqi cooperation with UNSCOM, the United States called for withdrawal of all UN and IAEA inspectors in 1998, resulting in Operation Desert Fox. The United States and the UK asserted that Saddam Hussein still possessed large hidden stockpiles of WMD in 2003, and that he was clandestinely procuring and producing more. Inspections by the UN to resolve the status of unresolved disarmament questions restarted from November 2002 until March 2003,[2] under UN Security Council Resolution 1441, which demanded Saddam give "immediate, unconditional and active cooperation" with UN and IAEA inspections, shortly before his country was attacked.[3]

I cannot belive after all this time people still speak about debunked information from the time it started. People said at the time the reasons were junk and it has been found to be true.

There were and still are far worse people out there than saddam hussein.

Lying about WMD's to the american people.<<<

My post on another forum to some long time friends a while time back. The people calling the U.S a terrorist nation need to get their head out of the sand. Stranger you have your mind up your arse. I thought you were a bright guy. Don't bother with any further puke you are trying to spew. Being misinformed does become you though.

It's not there.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iraq_Resolution

The resolution cited many factors to justify the use of military force against Iraq:[2][3]

Iraq's noncompliance with the conditions of the 1991 cease fire, including interference with weapons inspectors.
Iraq's alleged weapons of mass destruction, and programs to develop such weapons, posed a "threat to the national security of the United States and international peace and security in the Persian Gulf region."
Iraq's "brutal repression of its civilian population."
Iraq's "capability and willingness to use weapons of mass destruction against other nations and its own people".
Iraq's hostility towards the United States as demonstrated by the alleged 1993 assassination attempt of former President George H. W. Bush, and firing on coalition aircraft enforcing the no-fly zones following the 1991 Gulf War.
Members of al-Qaeda, an organization bearing responsibility for attacks on the United States, its citizens, and interests, including the attacks that occurred on September 11, 2001, are known to be in Iraq.
Iraq's "continu[ing] to aid and harbor other international terrorist organizations," including anti-United States terrorist organizations.
The efforts by the Congress and the President to fight terrorists, including the September 11th, 2001 terrorists and those who aided or harbored them.
The authorization by the Constitution and the Congress for the President to fight anti-United States terrorism.
Citing the Iraq Liberation Act of 1998, the resolution reiterated that it should be the policy of the United States to remove the Saddam Hussein regime and promote a democratic replacement.

Please read this VERY carefully. This is why we invaded Irq. Not because Bush lied. This is what history will show, not Bush lied.

The resolution "supported" and "encouraged" diplomatic efforts by President George W. Bush to "strictly enforce through the U.N. Security Council all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq" and "obtain prompt and decisive action by the Security Council to ensure that Iraq abandons its strategy of delay, evasion, and noncompliance and promptly and strictly complies with all relevant Security Council resolutions regarding Iraq."

The resolution authorized President Bush to use the Armed Forces of the United States "as he determines to be necessary and appropriate" in order to "defend the national security of the United States against the continuing threat posed by Iraq; and enforce all relevant United Nations Security Council Resolutions regarding Iraq."

Yes, there are. And they are on the target list too. While our forces are trying to find them, they are meeting roadblocks from sympathizers.

@Jdj read this.

I wonder from where those oil comes from to fuel Nasa.

You mean the Liquid Hydrogen that NASA uses for fuel? I don't think they get that from the Iraqi oil wells. [:aford10]

So, the Iraqi government has the right to sell to the US?
This is a bad thing?
What about this?

So, the great Saddam did all this, just for money
As to proofs of Iraqi oil, where is it?
Is it not being purchased to this very day?

So, whos been using propoganda here?
And whos swallowing it?
Once again, I ask you, wheres the oil?

Lol at that resolution, that was bullshit oh and alford, what do you mean trying to find them, they are the head's of governments like china. What about all the dictators that were allowed to butcher people, why were they not stopped?

Seriously people, the Iraq war is not and was not ever justified. The destruction done to that country and the countless civilians murdered directly and indirectly is shameful.

My questions are these
Were we to let Saddam enter into an international takeover, world wide disruption, and ignore what he would also then be capable of?
http://www.bing.com/videos/watch/video/saddam-seizes-power/64j3761
Hes also ruthless against his "friends"
http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/shows/saddam/interviews/aburish.html

Anyone defending a Saddam led Iraq is nuts
I say, today, the Iraqi people are better off

I once was asked by an Iraqi citizen, if I thought George Bush would free Iraq, and I told him its a very strong possibility
All I got was a large smile

I wish we never went over there, but I think it was justified. And as to the ridiculous oil claims- we never took any oil! Period! That's a myth- where's the oil? Why are we still purchasing oil in greater and great quantities if we somehow have all the oil in Iraq?

In fact, the war COSTS America far more $$$ than you think. It was a mistake to think we could change a culture that wants to live in the Stone Ages. That's the only mistake we made.

China has kept their issues in house, for the most part (which doesn't mean I agree with how they conduct their business). They aren't routinely bombing their neighbors and defying the UN.

Hamish Husband, spokesman for the Association of Tartan Army Clubs, said the legislation could affect fans who follow their national football team.

Now theres a moniker if there ever was one heheh
And killing all those poor Otters, methinks we should have hired Saddamto kill them, wherein, he wouldnt have complied with authorities, where some would align their ways with his actions

I meant that the US is after the Taliban and Al Qaeda leaders, or anyone who is supporting them.

I would add that things didn't turn out so well for Hitler, Stalin, or Mussolini. Given the chance, Kim Jong ll would not hesitate in attacking South Korea. Our troop presence has kept a close on him for that very reason. It's not just Saddam.

Nowhere in this is 1 consideration of US citizens, at all
I find this appalling and simply conspiracies of those whose as heartless as Saddam himself

If admitting your mistake brings no trust, then so be it, but honesty has merit of its own
Unlike those whod undermine those whos admitted their mistake, which I find as simply taking advantage for their own needs for power
