CDRW-Where to interface?

Will there be any difference putting my CDRW to the ATA 100 controler card or at the ATA 33 onboard controler?
If so do I need a 80 pin cable or is a 40 pin ok?

If an IDE CDRW, using a 40pin cable will be fine. There would not really be any advantage (speedwise) other than that it'll be on a separate channel which can help prevent buffer underruns. IDE CDRWs only utilize ATA33, but will work on any higher rated controller.
