Hi,

I have an older PC that I decided to reuse from time to time. It has an Intel Celeron D 336 CPU and a AsRock ConRoe945G-DVI mobo. I've heard that Celeron it's actualy a Pentium with hidden L2 cache and that there is possible to activate that extra L2 cache.
Did someone ever heard this before and knows how it can be done, or it's just a silly idea?

Thanks :)

The 256 KB L2 cache is not hidden, but you can't turn a Celeron D into a Pentium 4 by magically turning on the extra 256 KB, etc. Why not simply buy the fastest CPU that your motherbaord will support?
