Chances Of RAM Burning/Being Damaged In Single Slot

I have heard from a friend that if I use a single slot of RAM Slot by adding 16GB DDR4 Ram (16x1) then there are chances that in the beginning, ram would work normally but afterwards, it would get burned (maybe in a week or a month). Is it true that ram would get burned (even if it is installed correctly and other parts are also installed correctly and everything is in brand new condition)?

That is not true you'll have no problems whatsoever by just using a single slot

Unless you're video editing or doing something similar, for an average user this drop in performance is negligible
