Change color scheme to improve performance?

Does anyone know why I might be getting this windows pop-up? I just built my rig (not my first build) about 2 weeks ago and every now and then I'll alt+tab out of a full screen game to look something up on the web and I notice upon tabbing out that there's the color scheme change prompt. I got it on my old rig as well, but after some Googling, it sounded like it might have had something to do with RAM so I checked the BIOS and sure enough - my DDR3 2133 RAM was only running at like 13XXMHz. So I bumped it up and the problem never reoccurred. However on this build, the issue persisted. I don't have 2133 in this one, but instead went with twice as much 1866 if that matters. I would think that would be plenty fast. The other pertinent specs are:

- AMD FX9590 @ 4.7GHz
- EVGA GTX 980Ti SC
- Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1866 RAM 16Gb (8x2) (dual channel, slotted fully and correctly)
- Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R5 motherboard
- Intel 80Gb 320 series SSD
- Seagate Barracuda 7200rpm 1Tb HDD
- EK D5 pwm pump with the cpu and gpu on the water cooling loop.

The thing is, I don't actually notice any performance issues, and per HWmonitor, neither the cpu or gpu have ever exceeded 36c, even while gaming. But the computer seems to think it's struggling so I was hoping someone might know what might be going on in this beast?

Solution
Some older programs either require or request that the operating system change its color scheme to a more basic one, for compatibility reasons. That might be the main reason you are seeing this.
