Changing .exe?

I bought crysis 2 and i have the same screen flicker problem a lot of other people have. I read in a lot of the forums to change the crysis2.exe to rift.exe. I'm not very smart when in come to computers. how would you go about changing that?

I've heard the same thing from the AMD forums about changing the exe to bioshock. That's weird.
