I tried changing my resolution from 1920 x 1080 to 2560 x 1440 but it doesn't allow me.

I'm changing it through NVIDIA Control Pannel, making a custom resolution, it tests successful and when i change and apply it works, then kind of freezes and goes back to 1920 x 1080

I tried making a little video of my error but cant upload it to tomshardware

If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix, would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
ASUS VG258QR is 1920x1080 monitor.
It is incompatible with 2560 x 1440 resolution.

If you require 2560 x 1440 resolution, then you'll have to buy a new monitor.
Yup as SKynet said, so time to buy a new monitor. Viotek, AOC, Spectre all make more budget friendly monitors, and in the case of some model actually use Samsung VA and IPS panels.

But given you have a 2080ti you might want to splurge a bit and get something with HDR, color accuracy etc.
