Question Changing from Integrated to a Discreet GPU

Hi I was wondering if there is any specific way to change over from AMD integrated graphics (R7) to the RX 580 on a desktop computer as I have looked this up and haven't really found much at all. I'm not too sure if it's just as easy as plugging the HDMI cable into the RX 580 instead of the motherboard or is this not the case? I'm using an AsRock FM2A88M Extreme 4+ motherboard. I know it's an old system but there is no compatability issues that I know of as the RX 580 supports the chipset it runs off and the bios is fully updated to as far as it can go, and the motherboard is on the compatability list so it should work.

Just hook up the video cable to the GPU instead of the mobo and you will be good to go.

I'd uninstall the old R7 drivers and install the new AMD videocard drivers after putting the card in the computer. Just be careful not to uninstall any AMD chipset drivers your motherboard may be using.

If your gonna uninstall the R7 drivers, use the DDU tool below in safemode to remove them.
