I bought an Asus desktop almost a year ago and I'm planning on upgrading it on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. It has the A10-6700 APU with 8 gb of ram. I want to get the best GPU that will fit in the original case. U don't know what would fit in this case nor what would go with my CPU, if that even matters. I'm planning on getting a new power supply as well so that won't be an issue(But if you can point me in the right direction that'd be great). If you couldn't tell already I'm a novice at this. I've been thinking of an R9 or one of the 7000s but don't know which ones are the best/fit my computer. Also I've seen the nVidia's but I don't know if they will be compatible with my Radeon CPU.
My budget is around 250-ish so its not much but considering Black Friday deals, it will be alot then so yeah, help appreciated 😀

I beleive Ihave worked on a few of these before and a Gtx 750Ti is a worthwhile update that won't require changing out the PSU for many people.

What resolution and detail level would you like to be gaming at?
The 750Ti handles 1080 low/medium setting pretty well and most of them do not use external power. If you happen to order a card that does, be sure it comes with, or order one, a molex to pcie power converter. Your asus only has a spare molex connector from the psu as I recollect.

You systems power consumption will jump from about 110w/max to about 175w/max
Nvidia's are compatible with Radeon CPUs first off. Second off ouch you probably should of built one from scratch. You need to know the Power Supply Wattage and have a safe one. Then you want to make sure the CPU isn't bottlenecking the GPU. Then make sure.... Yeah a lot of things. Could you tell us all of those things if possible?

The power supply is the stock 350w. The CPU is an A10-6700 which is an APU that comes with the HD 8760 GPU together in one.

Do you know which one would be best fit considering size, effiency, and cost? And would that lead to a new power supply?

I'd want to game at 1920x1080 but I can go 1600x900. Is there a graphics card I could add that would do it on high settings? If a switch of a power supply is necessary, I'm all for it.

since GTX960's are due out mid-October we'll probably see some good deals on 760's which is the base gaming card I recommend which is currently running about $200 for a 2gb card; leaving you with $50 for a power supply.

Perhaps someone else can chime in with some decent recommendations.

Would this GPU fit my computer?

I know I will have to get a new power supply I just want to know if this thing would fit. If it does fit, what new power supply would I need?
