[SOLVED] Changing to incorrect screen resolution after driver update

About two weeks ago, my screen resolution changed to an incorrect one upon start-up with the correct native resolution not available in the choices. Updating the graphics card driver fixed it. However, today, the same problem recurred. This time I opted to "Roll back" the driver update and the resolution was once again corrected. I checked the status of my monitor and graphics card and both are fine stating "This device is working properly."
This is getting really weird. Your thoughts about this?
