Chassis falling little paint material

On sliding in and out the hard drive slot , it scratches the chassis and I can see some obvious scratches , which means there should be some falling paint over time, could those little paint cause damage to my hardware

Doubtful. It would be a very minute amount of paint chips falling.

i concur with MWP0004 case paint coats are measured in microns the flakes or chips will be about the size of dust particles, and heavier than them. keep positive pressure in your case(more air in than out) and they will fall to the bottow where you can easily clean it all out but most likely they will leave the case with the airflow.
