cheap 17" - LG?

thanks to THWG and esp teh forums, ive decided on the rest of my machine, but i still need a monitor, 17" is fine for me (need some desk space anyway) and i'm quite low on cash. can any of you guys reccomend me a decent 17"?

I see the LG Studioworks 775N & WS771B on sale near me, though they didnt want to show me it (i suppose it was close to closing time)... are these monitors ok, and which is better as they were same price.

Afraid I won't be much help, but I'm in the same boat (only looking for a 19" monitor). Went through two NEC's I didn't like, and now I'm trying an LG too, though I have heard good things about them.

something is weird, checking it out the 795ft+ looks a heck of a lot better than the sony g220r and for almost $80 less. i might have to rethink my buying decision.
also if either of you guys get it, please let us know how it is. thanks.
