Hi all, I'm here hoping someone could be kind enough to recommend a cheap GPU to use with a (very) low-budget PC I bought a few days ago.

I picked up this cheap rig the other day, but when I unboxed it today I realized I hadn't paid enough attention to the case size or the fact that the listing doesn't show any PSU specs. It only comes with an integrated GPU so I just assumed I'd be able to pop in the Geforce GTX 1060 from my other PC, but this system needs a low-profile card. It's only got a 180W power supply, and I'm hoping to not have to spend more than the price of the system for a compatible GPU.

I'm thinking I'll probably just end up returning it, but before I do I figured it couldn't hurt to reach out to some more knowledgeable people. Any input would be appreciated.

Thank you!

I think in the opening post he mentions using a gtx 1060 from his other pc.

I think @dzastyr is the one who has a GPU, and @ykmtx was warning @stonecarver who is going to borrow @Darkbreeze PCPartPicker list for a "a friend of the family" (just in case stonecarver didn't notice that detail).

But yeah, if you can afford it, stay away from such old aged systems.

The only thing, as PCPartPicker mention is to keep in mind the Ryzen 5 5500 may not work out of the box on that mobo. but considering that BIOS is from 2022, maybe he get a motherboard with a newer one included.

The Ryzen 5500 has no integrated graphics, so you need to install a GPU in this system

I did see the OP does have a GTX 1060 so he is for the moment covered for a GPU.

And yes I did see in the parts list from Darkbreeze does not provide any IGPU or a GPU.

The computer I'm moving the family friend from is an older HP with a AMD Athlon ll x4 640 CPU. It fit his needs as he is on a fixed income. I actually just gave him that HP PC about 7 years ago and he had me find him a used RX 470 GPU for $100.00 also 7 years ago. PC still is chugging along but he also feels the need now to upgrade.

While still older he does have the RX 470 GPU to use for now. He wants a RTX 4070 in the future.
