I have a budget for my build but its a bad mix to like aesthetics as well. Are there any cheap sleeved cables out there for a reliable psu

Solution

Yeah pretty much, However I think you are better off getting custom cables, if you are willing to buy a kit form corsair. Most of the things in the kit you wouldnt really use. That is unless you want to see the cables coming from you psu and keep it uniform.

I actually dont know sorry about that, but these are extensions so they work with any psu, also I dont think they come in sets, you just buy what you need

You need an 8-pin for mb aux, the 24-pin, and the two 6-pin for your gpu. I see you have a corsair psu, they have sets on their website, they maybe pricey though.

EDIT: actually for the gpu it called a 6+2 but you would only use the 6 part. This is not to be confused on the either 8-pin for the mb aux which comes as 4+4 pin

They are generally pretty decent. I'd have to doublecheck who the OEM is though. I don't think they make their own. But I think their OEM is one of the good ones.

Make sure you play close attention to the compatbility, you have an RM series and need to choose cables that specifically list you psu and usable. If you choose the wrong ones, it can either not fit or fry something.

You would actually have to buy the 24pin still, you wouldnt want to forget that one lol w.o it there is no pc. Did you already buy the psu already btw? or is this a build still in the making.

If it is an extension it doesnt matter, however if its going directly into your psu, then you have to make sure of specific comparability. Hope this helps

From what I saw on your list, the extensions that I listed is all that you need. Other cables would include sata data and sata power cables for you hard drives and optical drive.

This would work for a graphics card, but not for the 8pin on you motherboard. I also Im not sure what power connectors are on the msi version of the 970. I just saw a vid and the guy said he had to buy regular 6 pin pcie connectors for his new cards so just be aware of that. I know some versions of the new cards take an 8 pin but i do not remember which ones, so just check before. Also yes any extension is ok, you just have to keep and eye out for the ones that would go directly into your psu

Alright thanks for your extended help
