Hello, I'm planning to buy a ASUS NVIDIA gtx 950. My pc ain't that awesome. The specs are:

Ram-4 gigs
Processor- pentium dual core
Psu- foxin(local cheap brand) 450w
Current Gpu- Gt 610( yeah i can't believe either I'm on with this till yet)

Anyway, so I'm wondering if this low brand psu of mine gonna damage my card or so? The GPU doesn't need any extra power connector. It's gonna take it from the motherboard.

Honestly, i just don't have the money right now to get a corsair or some gpod branded psu.

So please tell me what happens to the card when it's plugged with a cheap psu? How does it affect performance of games? How does it affect the pc?

Expert help would be appreciated. ^_^

Thank you!

No it should not damage a gtx 950, especially if it doesn't require a 6 pin connection and even if it does, it should still be ok, but ofcourse a better quality psu is always better. Just keep in mind your psu is 450w, but it will never be able to push 450w, 200w is probably it's max and your pc is never going to use 200w so it looks like you're good to go. :)

Thanks for answering. Yes the GPU power consumption is only 75 watts. So as you said, i now have the confidence that it's gonna be okay now. 😀
Thank you again!
