Check for data on uninitialized ssd?

I have just installed a new Samsung 970 pro ssd into a new laptop, but it is appearing as uninitialized.
I understand that initializing it reuslts in its data being erased, but I am not sure whether there is any data that the manufacturer put on it or not (like warranty information etc).
Is there any way for me to check before initializing it?
Also, which 'partition style' am I supposed to use, MBR or GPT?

They come completely blank/void of data, not w/ any utilities/applications pre-loaded...
