can you squeeze a 2GB version of the 7850 into your budget?

also this ram for the same price. just remember to set the xmp profile in the bios to get 1600.

Do not get the i3-3225, it's pointless since you have a card, get the i3-3220, with the money saved get like jonjonjon said a 2GB version or a 660 gtx if it fits.

He's actually getting the CPU at microcenter because the CPU deals there are very nice. We originally had the 3220 on the slate, but it's out of stock at the moment.

you can do much better for the same price and if you are willing to buy from other places beside newegg you can get it even cheaper/better.

Thanks for the suggestion. Also, do you know for sure if the Mushkin is compatible? It's not on Asrock's list of tested memory.

you shouldn't have a problem. the list is just of memory asrock has physically tested themselves. there are so many different models it would be impossible to check them all.

Alrighty then. How does your HDD compare to the WD Blue I posted earlier performance-wise?
