Chkdsk stalls everytime.. How to repair file system errors?

Out of the blue my 2.5" samsung HM641JI became inaccessible or corrupt... I have been trying everything I can find to repair it. I've run chkdsk /r; I've run chkdsk with 'Automatically fix file system errors' and 'Scan for and attempt recovery of bad sectors'. I've downloaded and attempted using SeaTools... All to no avail. The tests always stall-out. I have even let them run for nearly 20 hours hoping it would work through whatever is wrong with the file system.

Anyone have any more ideas? 🙁

Have you tried Repair install of OS (windows)?

No; it's not a boot drive.

Now after running chkdsk /f after ~20 hours, it reads 'segments are unreadable..etc' is this a sign that it's completely shot? 🙁

You need a real guru and must be willing to pay. He may be able your save you files. Not the drive. Or maybe the drive too.
