Hello all. I have a bit of a dilemma I am hoping you can help with. I am looking to run a server which has the following:
Nextcloud server
ARK Server (4 people)
CCTV Server (3 cameras)
Potentially Teamspeaker server (4 people)
I really like the look of the T40 Dell with the Xeon 2224G however for around the same price I can build a i5 11400 based system which has much more cores.
My question is... what's more important here - the core and thread count or the cache on the Xeon? The i5 has 6 cores/ 12 threads where as the Xeon is only 4 cores / 4 threads.
Other thing to note with the Xeon is the VPro features although I wont be using ECC RAM.
Thanks in advance,
Ghostliner
