I was wondering what monitor setup I should choose for my new build and I want to know what graphics card(s) will need to be used to run each if it is even possible

widescreen curved
triple 1080p
triple 1440p
4k

I have the Asus PG348Q (Ultrawide curved 3440x1440) and I have the EVGA 1080 FTW. It runs all games flawlessly on Ultra. I run BF4 on ultra at 110FPS even Crysis 3 on max settings at around 60FPS. IMO, this is the best setup, to have an ultrawide screen. Most critics agree it's better than 4K as well. Additionally, imo, one ultrawide is better than a triple setup or a dual setup simply because there won't be any bezels and it's one fluid screen.

One widescreen might be better for games but isn't for multi tasking.

I would disagree immensely, but ok.

Which part do you disagree on.

Have you ever used an ultrawide monitor for productivity? It's amazing. You can multitask like a boss on it. Unless, you personally need more than 1 screen for a specific situation.

I have neither owned an ultra wide or a triple monitor set up. What I had in mind is you can have a fullscreen game while having other web pages open on the monitor and similar.

Fair point, I would say that's a very specific example of why multiple screens would be ideal, but I would guess that one ultrawide screen is suitable for most.
