Chosing GPU and facing some "local" problems

Hello. I wanna upgrade my GPU from 560ti to current top card. It will happen soon enough, but i facing some "local" problems here.
I really want to get 7970\ghz with a good cooling, but IN SOVIET RUSSIA crazy bitcoin-miners have bought all these cards in Moscow and those are left now have an expensive price. So, i basically, can get a GTX 680 SOC from gigabyte at cheaper price, than 7970 DC II ASUS(not even ghz edition, lol).. Usually, the 7970's are cheaper 😀
So, is it a good choise for long-term using? I mean.. 7970 have 1gb more memory and it works on 384 bit, but 680 overall is still faster, right?

Update: buying the card for gaming purposes, i'm running i5 2500 at 4.5 clocks on p67 MoBo at PCE 2.0.
The question is more like: "should i take this opportunity and buy 680 SOC or should i wait for another 7970 supply?"

I would buy the msi gtx 670.
If the hd 7950 has a game bundle i would take buy it

The only option for the mid-range card for my setup is CF, but i personally dont trust multi-gpu configs

Going Crossfire would be a good/cheap idea, however going for an HD 7970 is much better of course -- you´d notice a lot of improvement even with the GTX 680, from a 560ti.

I´d wait a bit until your local store to get the HD 7970 -- then you can see the price difference with the GTX 680 in order to make a properly decision.

I see no reason to advise you to pay too much unless he 560Ti is dead, not when there may be alternatives.
The GTX670 is very nearly as fast as the GTX680 and usually cheaper.
The HD7950 is more than capable of playing at 1920x1080 and, again, is cheaper than the HD7970.
I'm running a HD7950 at 1920x1080 and it's fine, even at stock 800/1250 speeds BTW.

Well not for any game.. It will do fine with straight console ports, but I dont wanna get caught with youknowwhat in my hand when Rome 2\Battlefield 4 or Metro Last Light comes in.
But i still thinking about CF 7870.. i can afford 2 of them with good cooling at the same price as i would buy 680 SOC, but i wondering about this misterious microstuttering and other multi-gpu problems. My MoBo only supports CF 8x\8x (oficially, but in MoBo itself it says that that can be SLI as well).
So i gotta chose between:
1) 680 SOC and CF 7870(nonref HIS, MSI HAWK) - this i can buy right now
2) 7970 - i dont know when i can buy this card and i dont know it's cost.
I just wanna stick it up and forget about it for a while..

Well maybe when the new cards come out, the prices of current cards will lower...
I would buy a hd 7950 and oc it like hell...
2 hd 7870 in crossfire better not! Only problems and no possibility to upgrade.
I would never buy a gtx 680.

I could buy 670 MSI nonref.
And i could buy 7950 nonref MSI\ASUS as well.
7950 is cheaper, which is better choise? I guess i need as much options i can get, but mine 3 yo 560ti surely needs to be upgraded.

Msi Hd 7950 can be oced like hell, and also the msi twin frozr hd7950 only cost 310$
But the sapphire hd 7870 OC only 190$ xD, well it also can be oced to hd 7950 level, so hd 7870 realy good price/performance.

Actualy 2 hd 7870 oc for a total of 380$ eats up a hd 7970, gtx 680....

Yeah you guys are probably right, maybe i should not be amazed by top-level cards right now... I could save some money for new case 😀
But the prices are very varied in Moscow shops and some of the 7950's costs as much as 680.
AMD's are very popular here, i guess it's only Russia that facing this bitcoin fever..
I could probably get the ASUS DCII 900\5000 if i go with 7950 (around 380$), or Sapphire DUAL-X for 365$ - thats the only possible options for 7950 right now
But if i go with 670 i could get 670 MSI power edition. Both OC and non OC versions are cost about 430$ or Asus DCII for 425$ (680 SOC here costs 490$)
These cards i can buy for sure. If you had to chose between these, which would you buy?
update: where can i look at the performance comp. with latest drivers upgrade?

So it will happen tommorow and i gotta make a last push:
Asus PCI-E ATI HD7950-DC2T-3GD5-V2 - 360$
MSI PCI-E NV N670 PE 2GD5 GTX670 - 395$
This is the best options and prices i have.
Once again: 2500k 4.5, 8GB RAM, P67 PCE 2.0 MoBo with 8x\8x SLI\CF support. Gaming on 1920x1080. No multi-monitor, no 3d, no some other special tasks instead of gaming, no extreme gpu OC'ing(well, maybe i will..)
I need to know which is better choise for longest possible usability. Thanx in advance.

I would buy the msi gtx 670.
If the hd 7950 has a game bundle i would take buy it
