Hi. Just got a new Windows 11 desktop. Chrome starts up at boot uo. No webpage other than google.co.uk and no extensions added.

Tried the internet. nothing in task manager about disabeling. Can't find a Don't start at bootup in chrome settings. Where can it be?

Tried Windows -> Startup

Tried Windows -> Startup
do you mean settings/Apps/Startup??

checked in chrome to see if its an addon doing it?
Open chrome settings (3 dot menu) or type chrome://settings/ in the address bar
click on the system choice
turn off Continue running background apps when Google Chrome is closed
save settings and restart PC to see if it worked

a few more choices here - Don't download anything - https://www.systweak.com/blogs/stop-chrome-from-opening-at-startup-on-windows/

Also try the following:
1) Launch System Configuration (msconfig) (open run box type msconfig)
2) Click on Startup tab
3) Look for anything related to Chrome, uncheck it.
4) Click Apply, Restart PC.
